New Partnership Between ISA and JumpRope
Two well known names in the school improvement world have decided to join forces – JumpRope and the Institute for Student Achievement (ISA) – all in the service of schools implementing standards-based grading.
JumpRope’s online gradebook is used by many schools nationally. Built from the ground up to support standards-based teaching and learning, it’s bold and unapologetic when it comes to collecting and organizing “grades” in terms of mastery of standards and skills.
Working with schools and school districts since 1990, ISA is a premier provider of on-the ground professional development, with experienced coaches who are experts in leadership, the content areas, and standards-based teaching and learning.

#BacktoSchool2023
We know that some school districts have been in session since the first week of August and that some start after Labor Day. Whatever your start date, we hope that you and your colleagues have a terrific 2023-24 school year.
From the Aurora Institute: Expanding Student Access to Work-Based Learning: Federal Policy Recommendations
Recently, the Aurora Institute published a new report called Expanding Student Access to Work-Based Learning: Federal Policy Recommendations.
As the Aurora Institute wrote, “we know the importance of learning experiences that happen beyond the confines of a traditional classroom. But how might federal policy support such experiences to prepare young people for life after high school? That’s where work-based learning comes in – a strategy designed to help students connect what they learn in the classroom with what is expected in the workplace by integrating learning with real-world applications in partnership with industry professionals.
“While momentum is growing at the local and state levels to design and implement PK-12 through workforce pathways to support work-based learning, there is still much work to be done in creating truly supportive policy environments. This set of federal policy recommendations outlines how enabling policies could further incentivize and focus increased resources on pathways and work-based learning.”
Coaching and PD Support for the 2023-24 School Year
As you think about this new school year, can ISA help your school or district with…
- Support for your district’s coaches, to explore additional strategies that can be used to expand the effectiveness of district and school priorities?
- A work plan for the 2023-24 school year that partners with all general education teachers and paraprofessionals who provide instruction and related services to students with disabilities?
- A school development or leadership coach for principals to support the implementation of school improvement plans?
Read more about what ISA can do here and then reach out to us to talk about the above or other possible support. Together we can collaborate to help sustain your current success and to provide personalized professional development for educators in your district and schools.
