School PartnersISA partners with schools to create small, personalized and intellectually demanding small learning communities (SLCs) for underserved and underperforming youth. Bringing decades of educational experience and expertise to the enterprise of redesigning high schools, ISA’s leadership team includes individuals who have led urban school districts and worked as teachers and leaders in high schools.
ISA works closely with school and district leaders to support the success of its partner schools from the beginning of the planning year through the four years of implementation. Contrary to off-the-shelf education reform packages, ISA schools are not intended to be cookie-cutter models - but rather enactments of ISA’s Seven Principles in ways that suit each new school community, reflecting their values, interests, and concerns. The individual backgrounds, strengths, and passions that ISA principals and their teams bring to the process of envisioning, designing and implementing small schools and SLCs are integral to the overall organization and instructional program of their school.
ISA currently has over 30 small schools and SLCs in several states in operation. Browse through this section of our website to find out if we can help your school.
