THE INSTITUTE FOR STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT THE BRIDGE TO A BRIGHTER FUTURE
ISA's fifteenth annual Gala will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Guastavino's in New York City at 6 p.m. With the theme An Excellent Education is the Bridge to a Brighter Future the event will bring together ISA leadership, educators, benefactors and ISA students to celebrate student achievement and recognize honorees for their commitment to improving public education.
ISA's 2008 honorees are:
The event will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, silent auction and dancing, plus entertainment from a very special surprise guest. Proceeds from the evening will support ISA's ongoing efforts to partner with school districts in the creation of small, college prep high schools for underserved urban students. Currently, there are 57 ISA partner schools in four states - New York, New Jersey, Georgia and Louisiana - collectively serving 15,000 students. This celebration of students' soaring successes and the achievements of our honorees will be in the ideal setting: Guastavino's, an architectural masterpiece and designated New York City interior landmark, tucked in the arches under the Queensboro Bridge.
