Principals

The ideas, backgrounds, strengths, and passions principals and their teams bring to the process of visioning, designing and implementing an ISA small school or small learning community become integral to the organization and instructional program of their school.

Contrary to off-the-shelf education reform packages, ISA schools are not intended to be cookie-cutter models, but rather enactments of ISA’s principles in ways that are appropriate to each school community, reflecting their values, interests, and concerns.

Principals and their teams articulate a vision for their schools which embeds the ISA Seven Principles so that they are an organic part of the school, not an add-on, and so that principals and teams have a natural sense of ownership of the Seven Principles as a core part of their vision.

Principals and their teams embed ISA's Seven Principles into their schools' vision so they are an organic part of the school, not an add-on. The Seven Principles provide school teams with a natural sense of ownership and  a secure foundation on which to strengthen the school community and strive for achievement.
